Noah Golden

Dr. Noah Asher Golden is known for his work in the areas of critical literacies, urban education, and English education. He works at the intersection of literacy teacher education, social identities, particularly of minoritized adolescent students, and how those students work to reposition themselves in the pathways and storylines they desire. Noah has published his work in Language and Education, English Education, English Journal, Teaching Education, Equity & Excellence in Education, Educational Media International, Urban Education, Knowledge Cultures, as well as books and practitioner columns. His research has been supported by the Spencer Foundation and the National Council for Teachers of English. Before earning his graduate degrees at City University of New York and Teachers College at Columbia University, Noah served as a secondary literacy educator and teacher coach in alternative education spaces in New York City. Dr. Golden is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at California State University, Long Beach.
